
Prof. Dr. Vasiliu-Feltes’s professional experience and expertise span a multitude of disciplines and sectors. An alumna of Columbia University, MIT, Stanford, Harvard, and the University of Miami, Herbert Business School, she has leveraged her elite educational background to drive significant advancements in her field.
While she currently teaches at the University of Miami Herbert Business School’s Health Management and Policy Department, she previously served as Faculty at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, and held executive roles within the University of Miami Healthcare System (UHealth), including Chief Patient Safety and Quality Officer and Chief of Compliance. During her University of Miami Miller School of Medicine tenure, she also served on the Pediatric Bioethics Committee, the UMMG Faculty Council, and the UM Faculty Senate.
Her academic foundation includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, post-graduate medical education at Columbia University, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and an Executive MBA in Health Sector Management and Policy from the University of Miami School of Business. This core education is complemented by her extensive post-graduate executive education in Bioethics (Harvard Law School), Health Ethics (National Institutes of Health), Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Stanford University), Quantum Computing (MIT), AI & Business Strategy (MIT Sloan School of Management), Entrepreneurship & Innovation (Stanford Graduate School), Negotiation & Leadership, (Harvard University), Financial Leadership (Harvard Business School).
She is an Ambassador for the Diplomatic World Institute, a Certified Consultant in Human Rights and Diplomacy, and certified in Deep Tech Diplomacy. Additionally, she is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (Management Strategy Institute), Certified Patient Safety Officer (International Board), Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (American Society for Healthcare Risk Management), Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence (American Society for Quality), and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (National Association for Healthcare Quality).
While she has received more than 50 global awards and distinctions, select honors particularly relevant to her academic role include the World Faculty Leader of The Year Award (World Business Angels Forum’s Business School), the Excellence in Clinical Research Award (Columbia University, New York City), Women in Academia Leadership Award and Teacher of the Year Award (University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Florida 2009 and 2010).
