I. Mission statement

The purpose of the Women’s Health & Ethics Consortium (“WHEC”) is to bring awareness to the multitude of health issues directly impacting women, and the ethical implications thereof. WHEC’s aim is to start a productive conversation around these issues and serve as an educational resource. An equally critical objective, however, is to devise creative solutions to these problems employing an interdisciplinary approach.

II. Objectives

WHEC’s practical objectives, in support of its Mission Statement, involve creating a number of tangible deliverables (“Deliverables”) including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Proposed policy and legislation
  • Case studies and analysis
  • White papers
  • Articles
  • Blogs
  • Social media
  • Podcasts
  • Speakers
  • Webinars
  • PowerPoint presentations

III. Membership roster

WHEC’s membership roster should consist of individuals from diverse backgrounds who can bring an array of unique perspectives and solutions to the table with respect to the pressing health and ethical issues confronting women today.

IV. Meetings and time commitment

WHEC will regularly convene once a month via Zoom to discuss issues and projects. The time commitment involved in WHEC is discretionary and based upon members’ availability to devote to meetings and Deliverables. WHEC members should aspire to participate in meetings and contribute Deliverables whenever possible in furtherance of WHEC’s mission.

V. Interest and questions
