Cuba has no law protecting health privacy. Legislation pending in 2022 states that “personal data related to sex, age, images, voice, gender, identity, gender identity, sexual orientation, skin color, ethnic, national, and territorial origin, migratory condition and classification, disability, religious beliefs, ideological principles, marital status, address, medical or health, economic-financial, academic and training, professional and employment, judicial and administrative data [should be] protected.” Parliament is said to be considering legislation similar to that of some Latin American countries, China, Vietnam and Russia.
